Save yourself the time and energy and just book a flight
I've just spent about 2 hours pouring over customer reviews from taking the bus down to Singapore from KL by bus. This is a common bus route that goes from Berjaya Times Square, in Kuala Lumpur ---> To Singapore from the company Starmart Express.
To get straight to the point:
Basically you will put yourself at risk of bed bugs, delays at checkpoints, being left behind by the bus drivers, and poor service. This is what I got out of people's online reviews.
A round trip ticket costs 60 Singaporean Dollars or half that for a one-way. I was looking into a one-way ticket which would cost me $30 SGD = $28.86 Canadian dollars. After all that time spent looking for the cheapest way I realized I was only saving $2CAD. Oh my god. Just book a flight, you will save yourself so much time and energy.
